In May 2020, more than 500 scientists from 41 countries spent four days discussing their research online. A “virtual venue” – a team chat tool – helped with orientation and user support and was the perfect place for networking and ongoing Q&As.
Eleven plenary sessions with more than 60 speakers were held in a webinar environment. In addition, we had poster gallery and poster flash talks. The successful and climate-friendly form of virtual networking also convinced the participants.
The Virtual Chalcogenide PV Conference 2020 was run by con gressa on behalf of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie. We were commissioned with the technical-conceptual design and technical moderation during the event. The lively positive response of the participants during and after the conference were a wonderful and inspiring experience for us.
